"My son attended your camp at Norwich University. I just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time he had, and what a great job you, your staff and counselors did. From what I saw and my son tells me the camp was very well organized and run. Just as important as what he learned about hockey is what he learned about teamwork, camaraderie and personal responsibility. He had never been that far away from home for that long without family, and he didn't seem to mind at all, probably because you kept him so busy!! We were not even back to our car in the parking lot before he asked when we can sign up for next summer." -- Rocky Hill, CT
I just wanted to drop a quick line to thank all of you at Elite Hockey for a great experience for my son. He attended the most recent session at Norwich and had a ball. I think he said it best when the first thing he said to us when we arrived to pick him up was, "can I come back next year?" It was music to our ears as we were very apprehensive sending him away for the first time. So thanks again, and we will see you next summer." -- Sterling, MA

The Elite Comprehensive
Training Program
At the Elite Hockey Training Center, we are looking for that individual
who is a good player, but more importantly, is motivated and committed
to learning and improving skills and knowledge. All activities, both
on and off the ice, have been designed to contribute to the total
hockey development.
Norwich University Sessions
Our sessions at Norwich University are designed to utilize the highest caliber of play from each player. In all of our sessions we match lines up during our evening competitive games and morning skills sessions. This ensures that first liners are playing against first liners, second liners against second liners, and third liners against third liners.
In sessions one, two, three, and five, there will be two different age divisions. Both age divisions follow identical schedules but in the older divisions we will place more emphasis on physical development and educational opportunities afforded to the player. This will include more intense emphasis on weight training and conditioning. The older players will be exposed to higher educational options including recruiting lectures with college coaches and players. |

Goaltenders
Individualized Program
The Elite Hockey Training Center GOALTENDERS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
is designed to maximize each goal tenders potential. Individualized
training programs are developed for each goaltender based on age,
experience, and ability. Every session at Elite has a goaltenders program included.
While each goaltender will participate in an individualized goalie
program with specialized instructors, he/she will also refine game
skills by participating in the afternoon practices and evening games.
On-ice goaltender training is designed to improve players' agility,
coordination, stance, technique and concentration. Emphasis is placed
upon the proper technique for covering angles and the importance of
correct position in the net. Skating speed and agility are improved
through daily power skating instruction. The proper techniques of
stretching are taught to increase the goaltenders flexibility and
to prevent injury.
Dry land training for goaltenders includes drills to improve hand-eye
and eye-foot coordination, as well as agility and speed. Individualized video analysis for each goaltender.
On and off the ice, concentration and confidence are stressed as goaltending
skills.
